Visited Edwards Gardens today. They may once have had an organized collection of roses, but now they have a few roses scattered here and there amongst other plants. Most of them are not labelled. If you're not looking out for them, you'll miss them. There were a few magnificent specimens, again, mostly unlabelled. Several plants loaded with ripening hips, including a roundabout encircled with rugosas. There were some Bonicas, Mary Rose, The Fairy, Sweet Vigorosa. A New Dawn climber was nestled under an awning at the entrance to the admin building, fighting it out with a clematis and holding its own despite deep shade. Nice foliage. I will post some photos in coming days.
