[Kitty Belendez says:] There are hundreds of different varieties of miniature roses on the market today. While some minis are casual and decorative and make good garden roses, there are a chosen few that regularly take their rightful place on the trophy tables at roses shows. These are the Queen Machines!

The roses Belendez writes about were listed by Bob Martin in the Spring 1998 issue of the ARS' Rose Exhibitors' Forum. They are the top miniature "Queen Machines" of the past five years: Fairhope, Irresistible, Kristin, Jean Kenneally, Incognito, Snow Bride, Hot Tamale, Chelsea Belle, and Child's Play. She also cites 3 "Minis to Watch": Behold, Miss Flippins, and Glowing Amber.
