p344. George Henry Tuck Kerslake (1853-1911), florist and plant breeder, borne in Teignmouth, Devon, England, the son of a farmer, migrated to Australia, aged 20. He became the leading plant breeder in NSW at his Yukka Road property in Sydney's Pott's Hill, during the 1890s-1900s..... A company was formed to further his plant-breeding work and when the nursery moved from Potts Hill to Blackheath, Thomas Ambrose Kerslake (1862-1923) , landscape gardener and nursery proprietor, took over its management.
