Albert Hoffmann (1846 Hackpfüffel - 1924), retired trader and amateur gardener, was one of the initiators of the Rosarium Sangerhausen, which was built on land donated by him. His collection of 400 roses at the Wilhelmstrasse in Sangerhausen was the founding stone of the Rosarium.
