[From Catalogue de l'Exposition quinquennale Lyon 1851, p. 61:] BELLOT-DÉFOUGÈRE, horticulteurs, à Moulins (Allier), rue de l'Horloge.
In The Old Rose Advisor, Brent Dickerson tells us that Mons Bélot-Défougère was a horticultor at Moulins... The Revue Horticole says, "A distinguished horticulturalist, Mons Bélot-Désfougères [sic], died January 13 [1868] at Moulins (Allier), where he had a horticultual establishment. He was 69 years old. Mons Bélot-Défougère had retired a long time since, and had turned over his form to Mons Marie, who still maintains the premises."
