The breeder's name is Bartolomeo Embriaco -- not the other way around.
Bartolomeo Embriaco was born in 1935 and still lives just outside Poggio Sanremo within view of the coast of Liguria. Domenico Aicardi was his godfather. He had little contact with Quinto Mansuino though both frequented Aicardi; he is, however, perhaps the most consistent breeder of hybrid Mansuineana roses both for the cut-flower and garden markets.
