We moved to a new house with a large garden in 2009, and trying to identifiy the roses already existing there is how I discovered HMF.
Then when my grandmother had to leave her house with garden, we dug out some of the various rose plants she had in a mixed rose plantation, but I am still busy trying to identify them.
The next project will be to rearrange our garden, to make space for the very long wish list of roses I have...
My favourite roses are the old roses, especially striped ones or multi-coloured. Recently I started collecting dark coloured roses.
