Why don't You use green shade cloth instead of black?
It seems to me cooler than black cloth, that might accumulate the heat.

Hi. I am using black, as the green is too expensive, plus I don't think 50% comes in green.

Thanks for the interest. I hope I will be able to maintain what I have. This summer is predicted to be as bad, if not worse than last summer.

Good luck! Over here the frosts damaged a lot of roses; maybe a lot are dead.

If anyone could help me find a rose called "Maggie" I live in Australia.. I am hoping to find it as my best friend just loss her daugther call Maggie.

There is a modern cream floribunda called Maggie - listed by Treloar's (Victoria), Trewallyn (Qld) and Melville's (WA).
