Well, we built our new flowerbed and planted eight roses there - and boy, can I feel it today. There were several roses that just really needed to be out in more sun, and they'll be getting that in the new bed, so I'm excited.

I need to do a bit of re-potting this week, as well as some actual potting; the minifloras I had ordered from Rosemania need to go in pots now that they've been reasonably acclimatized to the yard. I had to bring them inside today because the tiny, tiny pots they're in weren't handling the 15-gusting-to-40 winds we're experiencing, and I didn't really expect they'd handle the thunderstorms well either. I'm hoping I'll be able to start potting them up tonight, though I have yet to figure out where the fourth one is going to go...

I managed to spill the last of my time-release fertilizer; I needed pick up some more anyway, but I was planning to wait until I had all the roses in pots or the ground. Grr.

Bronze Star is looking pathetic, and I'm not sure why yet. I've moved it out into more direct sun; it needs to be potted up into a bigger pot, too, and I need to run a soil test on it to see what the problem is. I have a contingency plan if it dies - plan Buy Another One - but I'd like to keep it alive if I can...

Moonlight Magic is underwhelming me right now. I can't decide if it's just not getting enough sun or if it really is that sad a plant. It also looks to have a virus of some kind, probably RMV, but I need to take a few photos of it to compare.

This is going to be a busy weekend. Most of my ordered roses have been shipped, quite a few in the last 24 hours, which means building the rose bed we've been procrastinating on has become a priority so we can free up some pots!

Half the Regan's order arrived, and the other half is due some time this week. Successfully potted up the two, and my wonderful husband tamed back the neighbor's bushes so we can put in a new bed and free up some pots for the incoming roses.

The need for the new flowerbed becomes more pressing... The last rose I ordered from J&P, Ronald Reagan, has arrived, and at least half of my Regan Nursery order is on its way. And to further complicate matters, Home Depot has discontinued the big pots I was using and has gone to a different version that comes with an attached saucer. Not only am I going to have a somewhat discombobulated garden, but I'm also going to have a mountain of saucers by the time I finish up-potting everything...
