what is the correct spelling of of this rose name? It is currently spelt as Madame Prospère Laugier, but most references spell it as Madame Prosper Laugier We also have Prosper Laugier (Hybrid Perpetual, Verdier, 1883)

Quite so (as to where did the "Prospère" come from). So late as 1905, there was a Bearded Iris of the name 'Prosper Laugier' as well, also from the house of Verdier.

Prospère is wrong. Verdier had a daughter Eugénie Angélique Verdier (* 1 May 1852 in Ivry-sur-Seine, † ). She married the pharmacist Auguste Prosper Laugier (* 2.06.1846 in Paris, † ) on 26 October 1874 in Paris. The name must be changed, but also where it is used as a parent, e.g. 'Docteur Georges Martin'. You can find this in Genenet!

The correct name is 'Yvan Misson', correct year is 1922. See Catalogue of Soupert & Notting 1923, p. 37 or Catalogue of Ketten frères 1926, p. 38.
