The color is quite variable, it develops over the day, the color is not consistent from bloom to bloom, and the coloring is very dependent on the weather. Photo taken May 3, 2012 zone 5

This rose was transplanted in 2011, and even though I'm in zone 5, we had a zone 6 winter in 2011; we'll see how this rose fairs in a usual winter.

I find this rose is not fragrant, I wish I did. The canes are thin, and the blooms are heavy. The spots you see are from deer repellant. Photo taken May 3, 2012 zone 5

To get an idea of the bloom size, and color, from the top clockwise: Gruss an Zabern, Rosenprinzessin, Sweet Chariot, Rosenwunder von Schloss Hexennagger, Wild Blue Yonder. The spots are deer repellant or mud, we were due for another rainstorm so I gathered a few blooms. April 30, 2012

There is a tall cane coming out of the center of the rose, it is darker green than the base of the plant; there are fewer thorns but they are longer. It was transplanted 2011, and this is the first year for any blooms, but haven't seen any buds on this.

This rose to the left, starts out a watermelon color, and fades to medium pink; the scent is moderate, and holds for awhile. Rosenprinzessin to the right, doesn't fade but only has a light fragrance. Photo taken April 30, 2012

R. marschalliana is of the R. canina group, it varies from light pink to pure white. This one is pale peach in the bud, and opens to white. There is a light orange scent, and the boss is pale peach cast as well.
