The parentage of Super Excelsa & Super Dorthy is incorrect. I have the details from my friend Karl Hetzel, the breeder, but do not wish to disclose this information for the time being, i.e. without contacting the heir.

Bernhard, it is not unusual to see spurious or incomplete parentages published, a regrettable practice as old as the rose business. HMF wants to complete its listing of Karl Hetzel roses and now has the able assistance of a German-speaking rosarian. If you find that you can disclose the breeding of these two outstanding roses, please inform us, and HMF will correct the record.

I hope to have a chance in the summer to meet with interested parties and will try to ascertain if I can release the parentage.
