Unlike the wild R. roxburghii the growth of this seedling is less rampant and the heps stay on the stems (date of Photo 2022-09-05). Still it presents the peeling bark of the original.
If properly pruned into a rounded shape it should be quite ornametnal in any shrubby border.

At Sangerhausen in late winter 2011, many of the climbing roses and ramblers had died back due to severe late frosts after an all too warm period in January and February 2011. This one, among only a few others was alive and flowering its head off.
