Blooms in big flushes. Strong fragrance with peppery overtones. Variable blackspot tendencies..sometimes less than others, sometimes more. I love it!

Emmie Gray shown blooming under the shade a live oak tree in spring of 2010 in San Antonio Texas. It blooms sporatically during the rest of the season and no doubt would bloom better with more sun. However, even in the shade it seldom shows a spotted leaf. It's never sprayed.
