Received "John's Rose" from Hortico Inc. yesterday. Planted it in a 5 gal container for the first year. It was bare root, made it to me from Ont Canada in 7 days in real good shape. CCRS meeting tonight at Magee Park in Carlsbad.

Planted 4 new roses today from "Heirloom Roses" CL Cal Poly, Samba Kordana, Spice Drop & Sweet Diana. All are mini's and came as 'own root' 3x3x6 containers. I planted them in containers for this first season in the garden.

Received "Daisy O" from Heirloom Roses today. Planted it in a 4 gal pot due to it being a 1 qt "own root" rose. Looks like it made the trip via USPS from Oregon ok. I will attach a picture when it blooms.

Planted "Ketchup & Mustard" into a really nice big blue ceramic pot. Have the first rose of 2013, "Double Delight"
