Eastern Iowa, June 21, 2009, no winter protection, bounces back quickly after pruning in spring, and one of my best performers. Charlotte blooms nearly nonstop from May until frost, deadhead often. In spite of the heavy rain this year, her foliage is clean, and the canes are strong. Later in the summer the foliage gets a little damage from insects.
