My love affair began when I bought--and kept alive!--my first Tea rose in my Washington state Zone 6a garden. My shock knew no limits, and an obsession was born. My ambition in life, now that the kids are gone, is to appear on some well-known talk show in a little black nothing, telling the presenter, "Of course, the real BACKBONE of my garden is the rose...." No, really my only ambition is to grow a rosarian's oasis here on our high-desert cherry orchard--a fragrant, 3-dimensional heaven on earth. (I'd also like to learn to rustle and propagate!)
