The references refer to 'Bienvenue' as a shub, floribunda and climber. Were there two - 'Bienvenue' and 'Bienvenue Cl' - or is the rose variable in its height?

Great climber for espalier as well as very nice bush.
Mine has been planted several years ago in open field. Had no care whatsoever and it has survived and grown as a nice bush with great flowers!

This is the best rose I have ever owned. It's tolerance to heat is amazing. In 110 degree weather the bloom is pristine day after day for a week. Then the yellow fades to white looking like a zebra. Most blooms last for 4 weeks some up to 6 weeks. I have found that the greater the temperature and full sun all day will give you greater contrast of colors to the point of being almost black. During the winter when the sun isnt intense the dark color will be medium red.

Very vigorous. Tends to be cluster flowered, though very large blooms. Good as a cut flower.

In Italy it is marketed as 'Valzer della neve' (that is the exact translation from German)
