This variety belongs to a new section of roses called the dwarf perpetual Wichuraiana, which, unlike the climbing species, is a perpetual flowering race with a dwarf bushy habit. The fact that the varieties in this section are immune from mildew is a distinct advantage over many other varieties of a similar nature. Very little pruning is necessary. Introduced in 1909.
This is a photograph of my Pink Iceberg taken last year. Yes, it's half white and half pink and No it's not camera trick either. I was going to preserve the actual flower but did not know how to, so I have preserve it by taking the photo of it instead.
