I have been interested in Heritage Roses since 1994 and have attended all the Australian Heritage Rose Conferences and some overseas. As a past president of HRiAi I became very interested in saving some of the very endangered roses we have growing in Australia and we now have some of these "founds" growing in two public gardens in Victoria- the Marysville Memorial Rose Garden ( a response to the severe 2009 bushfires where so many people died) and the Mornington Botanical Rose Garden -( WFRS Garden of Excellence Award. 2015). In both gardens we have focussed our other heritage plantings on Teas and Chinas where possible - although you will find some other old favourites.
