I am relatively new to rose gardening; I live in the mountains above Santa Barbara, California and am retired. Because of challenging wind conditions, limited water from a shared well, and poor soil I have a fairly small area for roses, and climbers are best in that spot.
Especially appreciate fragrant, hardy varieties.
Currently have Cecile Brunner, Lady Banks, Madame Alfred Carriere, Joseph's Coat, Mr. Lincoln, Royal Sunset, Iceberg, Just Joey and a potted Bonica.
