Not really a gardener myself, but my mum - Sue Lee (1946-2013) - was a fairly major self-made rose expert and, during the 1990s and early 2000s, opened our garden in Wells to the public as "The Time Trail of Roses", with over 1000 different roses planted in date order to illustrate the history of rose discovery and hybridization, from wild up to modern-day.
