De grands bouquets de fleurs mi-doubles, légères et gracieuses, d'abord rose carné puis blanc. Charlotte Testu souligne, page 64 de son livre dédié aux roses anciennes, l'élégance exceptionnelle de cette variété : "... mais quelle autre [rose] a la grâce nonchalante de ‘Celsiana’, ces pétales soyeux, légèrement repliés en un quasi-abandon ?". Tout cela est parfaitement exact : un splendide rosier, fidèle et généreux.

27 April 2019, Livermore, CA. This rose is so consistent and productive. The peak of the first flush, according to the photos I've posted, is nearly the same date every year (though it even blooms sporadically during the winter) and it blooms frequently, regularly, and well for most of the growing season. Really, one of my favorites.

Picture taken August 10 with Big Purple (rasp. red) and Evelyn (pink) .. both smell nice. Big purple lasts 1 week in the vase (if picked in bud), Evelyn lasts 4 days in the vase. Japanese Beetles don't care for both, both survived SEVEN zone 5a winters as OWN-ROOTS.
