I am involved in a voluntary gardening association called "The Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs" in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I, along with 3 others, have been, and are, in the process of acquiring hardy old Canadian roses, mainly focussed on the ones that were developed on the Canadian prairies. We also tend a large number of hardy 3b roses, both modern and old, with the criteria that they have to survive harsh winter conditions without protection. Altogether, there are approximately 430 roses in all, with approximately 170 different varieties being represented.
