I live in the inland east Bay Area of Northern California. My garden is very sunny, hot and dry. Summers are generally in the 90s F with many days over 100 F. I grow a lot of pollinator-friendly, drought tolerant plants but also love to have a variety of cutting flowers I can bring in the house to enjoy. I am relatively new to gardening and really enjoy all the information, inspiration and resources from HMF.

My first three roses were planted in 2020 and are grafted on Dr. Huey. Most of the remaining are brand-new baby bands on their own-root, planted in 2022 onwards. I also have several other grafted roses (often impulse purchases at the hardware store!).
