How clean is this one for you Marina?

Glad to see you posting again!

Hi Robert, I would say, Roald Dahl is my top performer here! It gets full day sun, no relief. Planted next to sizzling asphalt driveway and gets no special care at all. Yet, it grows to a very nice rounded bush, blooms a lot and stays almost free from Black Spot. I probably spray it once in the Spring and when the real heat comes, the Rose is on its own. Love it.

Glad to hear you've got a winner there.

It's one I acquired this Spring but haven't had a chance to evaluate as yet.

Apparently it lacks fragrance?

Thanks, Robert

Yes, Robert, definitely a winner here. I hope yours perform well for you. I fell in love with Roald the first year I planted him in 2019. Checked the fragrance this morning and to my nose it has quite strong sweet fragrance. Nothing exquisite, but very noticeable warm fruity fragrance.

Greetings Marina,

I think I sent this one in for trials some time ago. The current mass market doesn't have a clue what to do with anything different, so needless to say, they didn't take it on.

I might be able to send you some cuttings or root some for you if you give me time?

Or I could try budding one for you.

It should be wonderful where you are.

I'm in awe of your collection there!

Best wishes, Robert

I sent you an email.

I would delete your address here. I understand it can cause problems. ;-)
