Using the directions of Franklin & Lafayette is the North East corner of the block on which the Santa Clara Mission, the L.B. Meyer Theater, Adobe Lodge, the Observatories and other buildings are located. All the buildings form a perimeter for a lovely interior garden and lawn area. On the west side of the lawn is where the Observatories are located and the rose arbor is located there.
Also of interest is a climbing rose found in the Wisteria Arbor near the Mission on the Eastern side of the lawn/garden. At first look it appears to be the same as the rose on the arbor. Second look, there are only five leaves on a stem, not the seven leaves of the R. Abyssinica. There is also a rose climbing in the arbor along the Corridor of the Adobe Lodge. Both of these roses need further investigation in the Spring.

Should this photo be shown under 'Lyda Rose' rather than under 'Show on the Heather'?

Hi Sherri,
This is an old photo ... thanks for the catch ... and I have reassigned it to the correct rose page.
Smiles, Lyn
