I´m not sure if I have this rose, Janet, in my garden. I think it has been a mistake, because I wanted to buy another Austin rose and the label wasn´t right. The rose of your photo is very similar to my unknown rose.
Could you tell me about Janet?. Is it a vigorous and tall shrub? . Mine is in a big container. Everything you can tell me about it will be very helpful for me. Thank you.

Hi .. your pictures look a lot like my Janet. For me Janet does not have a very strong fragrance. My plant is fairly new (got it last year) but it's stayed pretty small, about 3 feet so far, it could get bigger - one never knows with Austins. I would not call it very vigorous. The blooms form singly or two, very heavy for the stem and tend to nod. Lasts a really long time on the plant. It really is hard to tell much more because as I said it's a fairly new rose for me too, only in it's second spring and just moved to the ground from a pot this spring. Hope this helps. I really like this rose very much.

Hi Lily,
Leander was new for me this year, and my plant did not do very well, so it's a bit difficult for me to comment on him. He did have lovely blooms though. William Morris on the other hand I've had for a few years and he's settled in very well. This plant has typical David Austin growth habits - leggy - you might want to put it at the back of the flower bed and give it some kind of support, like a pyramid trellis or something similar. it's a good bloomer with a lovely fragrance. Very nasty thorns though. I don't spray and he has stayed pretty clean. Our biggest problems here are black spot and powdery mildew, but he does not get any.
