I have been growing a Lac Majeau Rose for five years in Fairbank, Alaska. I have found it to be the most reliable and winter hardy in my garden. It is has the lovliest buds which are tinged with red, it's ever-blooming and sports big round red hips all winter long. Very fragrent, and disease resistant. My only complaint is that I haven't been able to find another. Is this Cinderella Ragosa the best kept secret known only to myself, or is there another admirer out there?

I grow Lac Majeau in my garden in the Fingerlakes region of central NY (Zone 5). It is my favorite white rugosa.

I just bought 'LACE CASCADE' at Summer Winds Nursery in Palo Alto. I shall be adding it to my collection of white roses. I have the climber version of IceBerg and like it immensely. It has done well even under the shade of our balcony!

Okay I have to crow just a little bit: one of my 'sports' is doing well (despite being moved from Ventura to LA) and its a pale blue-lavendar Lace Cascade... is it a true sport? Does Kim have an answer? Shall I name her? The original Lace Cascade always intrigued me... Terre Ashmore

Are you still growing the pale blue lavender sport of Lace Cascade? Have you propagated it? I would be very interested in acquiring a cutting of this. Leon

Thank you for your interest Leon. I gave the sport away during ceremonies when I closed down The Garden of Life (the public gardens I had created in Fillmore CA) and I have not been able to locate the person I gave it too. I trust the rose is alive and well but I don't know where it is now... Terre Ashmore
