It's not unusual to see flower stalks with three bracts rather than the more usual two - either two smaller bracts and a leafy bract, or one small bract and two leafy ones.

Budded from the plant growing in the Heritage Rose Garden in Pinjarra. That plant was donated by South Australian nurseryman, Walter Duncan, who had collected it from a surviving plant growing the Adelaide Botanic Gardens in the 1960s.

Mrs Dunlop-Best has gorgeous blooms. The deeper shadows of colour really enhance their lovely shape. It's a beautiful colour.
The blooms just keep coming. It's a lovely presence in the garden and the blooms are good in arrangements.

The petals are easily damaged and are often marked and spotted. Despite this they are charming and make a lovely display on the bush or as a cut flower. In our climate, Laurette blooms all year round and is lovely in winter.
