John Champney in Carolina had the 'Musk Rose' and 'Old Blush'. C. 1802, one of these produced a hip, evidently pollinated by the other. From it came 'Champneys' Pink Cluster' scented like the 'Musk Rose', pink in colour, summer-flowering. Its value was realized when seed from it produced a light pink shrubby bush which flowered repeatedly, showing that the 'Old Blush' genes, masked in the earlier cross, were capable of influencing future generations 'Blush Noisette'.

(HARtwiz; 'Donauwalzer') Description. In 1986, the Public Record Office in Britain selected it to mark 900 years of William the Conqueror's Domesday Book. The orange-red closely matches th epigment used for key words in the Domesday Book.

Description. 'Country Lady' has an interesting habit: longish stems radiate from a point on the main branch to give a very wide spray effect, the individual blooms being large enough to pass as decorative hybrid teas.
