What we have as "Camnethan Cherry Red" (right) and 'Beauty of Rosemawr' (left) - comparing buds, inflorescences and foliage.
The foliage of 'B of R' is conspicuously smaller and more serrated than that of "CCR"
'Beauty of Rosemawr' is well clothed with leaves, "Camnethan Cherry Red" less well so, often looking quite sparsely foliated.
The buds of "Camnethan Cherry Red" are well spaced in the infloresence, each emerging from its own node, while those of 'Beauty of Rosemawr' emerge much closer together, and sometimes from the same node.
'Beauty of Rosemawr' has plump buds, while those of "Camnethan Cherry Red" are slender. Both have glandular pedicels.
