Bloom:
White blend, ages to white . Mild to strong, sweet fragrance. 100 to 140 petals. Average diameter 4". Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), cupped-to-flat, old-fashioned bloom form. Moderate, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season. Large, rounded buds.
Habit:
Medium, bushy, climbing. Medium, matte, medium green foliage.
Height: 4' to 10' (120 to 305cm). Width: 4' to 4½' (120 to 135cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden, pillar or shrub. Hardy. vigorous. benefits from winter protection in colder climates. can be grown as a shrub. can be trained as a climber. drought resistant. rain tolerant. suitable for a pillar. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant, blackspot resistant, mildew resistant, rust resistant. Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. . Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown as a climber in mild climates. Prune after flowering is finished. Prune dead wood. Prune lightly until this rose gets established (about two years), then prune it back by about a third.. Requires good cultivation if it is to perform its best.
Breeder's notes:
This is a white with a blush pink center sport of David Austin's Eglantyne. It opens to a creamy white. Wonderful Rosa Alba fragrance. Same form and petal count as Eglantyne 100 - 140. Same disease resistance. Medium to dark green leaves.
