Charles de Gaulle (Meilland). A deep mauve flower of 30 to 35 petals, nicely shaped, and very fragrant. The blooms are well held on a bushy leafy plant, which has beautifully tinted foliage, both flower and foliage complimenting each other. We have found disease resistance good and it has advantages over 'Blue Moon' (better colour), and 'Vol de Nuit' (better bush). It deserves attention from lovers of this colour.
