Pink to dark purple, carmine-red shading. [Violet, deep pink edges, ages to purple .] Colour of individual blooms are pink, crimson, dark purple or violet. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 2.25". Medium, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.

Prince Albert (Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emmanuel Saxe-Coburg) was born 26 August 1819 in Bavaria, Germany. He died 14 December 1861 of typhoid fever at Windsor Castle. He is buried at Windsor.
