Bred by Michael Henry Horvath (United States, 1898).
Introduced in United States by Pitcher and Manda Nursery in 1898 as 'Evergreen Gem'.
Introduced in Australia by Hawter’s Nurseries in 1909 as 'Evergreen Gem'.
Class:
Hybrid Wichurana, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Buff, ages to white .  Moderate, sweetbriar fragrance.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.
