.... I'm so eagerly awaiting delivery of this rose - I'm in zone 8b west coast usa. EDIT: So far, it's doing quite well for just a couple months in the ground. Can't wait for blooms; the photos online are stunning. I bought mine from Rose Petals Nursery - own root gallon.

I have high hopes for this one, as its parent "Crepuscule" is one of my all-time faves and does well in my garden. So far, it's not climbing much, and the flowers, though pretty, are much smaller than I'd imagine. This is only Mel's second year from an own-root cutting, though.

My plant has grown from a band to a gorgeous 4' x 3' plant in 9 months. It is so healthy and green, and just now ( April 1) starting to bloom. It has been in the ground, here in Florida, for about 4 months. I am just amazed at how quickly it has grown and recommend very highly! It did seem to require a lot of water when it was in a pot, but now that it is in the ground ( heavily mulched) It seems content to be watered weekly.
