John Birsner recounts his memorable "ride" with a group of avid and noted rose rustlers. An entertaining and enlightening look at rose rustling. This is John's first contribution to HelpMeFind, and we hope to see more soon.
This is Paul's first contribution to HMF and we look forward to many more. In this month's article, Paul waxes philosophical about roses and gardening. It's a very interesting - enjoy.
As many of you have written telling us how much you enjoy Kim's articles, we though you would like learning a bit more about him. This month's article, from his collection A Passion for Roses, is about his start with roses and ultimately the creation of his 1500 rose community garden.
Kaye Kettrey and her husband and moved to the Ouachita Mountain area of Arkansas 9 years ago when he retired from Delta Airlines in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. They began to grow Old Roses "quite by accident," as a project to put "roses along the split rail fence". She happened upon 'Ducher,' and the rest is history. The Kettreys are members of the Ft. Smith Rose Society and the call for help identifying the Whitlow/Liberto/Bremner roses was forwarded thru them. Kaye's next adventure will involve old roses in and near abandoned Arkansas sawmill locations.
Paul writes extensively about a beautiful new rose he has bred and named for the widely known and respected California rosarian Jeri Jennings. We should all be so lucky to have a Paul Barden rose named after us!
We are doubly pleased to reprint this article as Jeri is one of the HelpMeFind administrators who volunteers her time to make HMF the best it can be. In addition to her numerous article contributions to the site, she, in concert with all our admins, applies her insight and expertise to help monitor the collection and organization of information from around the world.
Linda is new to the HelpMeFind Ezine and we all enjoyed her first contribution. She writes a journal about her garden, her life, and the interaction of the two. Her style and subject matter are sure to make you smile. We hope this is the beginning of a regular addition to the Ezine.
