I live in the inland Northwest and am trying to decide on a solid, dependable classic yellow hybrid tea for the 2017 planting season. I've narrowed the choices down to Welcome Home (available through J&P) and New Day (available through Edmunds). Reviews I've read of Welcome Home suggest this is a really good choice...good form, blooms in flushes. However, the photos of New Day show a really nice, solid yellow. Any input that could help me "break the tie" would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Is Veteran's Honor close to the color of the perennial Turk's Cap? I want a tall red rose to go in a bed with the Turk's Cap, dark blue Salvia Guranetica, lighter blue Stoke's Asters. I also want a short pale pink HT to go in the bed. Would Savoy Hotel be a good choice or is there something better?
