Bloom:
Yellow. Brownish red stamens. 9 to 11 petals. Average diameter 3.5". Medium, single to semi-double bloom form.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Father Delavay sent in 1886 seeds collected in Yunnan to the Museum of Natural History in Paris. These were sown in 1887 and of the three plants which grew, the first flowered in 1891. One of these seedlings, which exhibited special characteristics was named superba.
