Bred by Irmtraud Rieck (Germany, 2015).
Introduced in Germany by Giessler Päonien in circa 2021 as 'Cancan'.
Class:
Hybrid rockii, Hybrid suffruticosa, Tree peony.  
Bloom:
Violet-red or fuchsia / magenta, lighter reverse, black flares, silver(y) edges.  Twisted, frilled and notched petals surrounding prominent gold stamens.  Mild to strong fragrance.  Average diameter 6.5".  Medium to large, semi-double, ruffled bloom form.  Early-to-mid.  
Habit:
Tall.  

Height: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).

Notes:
Registered 2021.

Named to suggest the ruffled skirts of cancan dancers worn in the late 1800's.
