p71 Maureen Ross. Ross Roses – One Hundred years 1902 to 2002. ....It is fitting that in 2002 our Centenary rose will be named ‘Deane Ross’ a highly fragrant, very double ruffled bloom in rich mauve-pink. It is, of course, an Australian bred rose donated by George Thomson.

p60 ‘Deane Ross’ (TOMboss). New 2002. Of a true damask rose fragrance, the rich mauve-pink blooms are lightly ruffled and fluted in an old fashioned manner. Constantly flowering for eight months of the year, this rose will blend superbly in both modern and older gardens. Subtle yet spectactular, the interesting colours appeal to all. This rose bears the best of both its parents ‘Onkaparinga’ and ‘Gertrude Jekyll’, but is of a neater bush habit of growth. Joining the ‘Australian TRUE BLUE Collection’.
