Bloom:
Light pink, golden-yellow stamens, ages to white . Strong, damask fragrance. Average diameter 2.75". Semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Upright. Height of 3' to 6' (90 to 185 cm). Width of 3' to 5' (90 to 150 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b. Can be used for garden. Vigorous. Prune after flowering is finished.
Notes:
The name honors a prominent Paris nurseryman, M.F. Cels, who is said to have introduced this rose from Holland. Pépinières Loubert's 2002 Catalog assigns a date of pre-1732.
