Bred by Louis-Joseph-Ghislain Parmentier (Belgium, before 1826).

Bloom:
Rose-pink, lighter edges.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 3".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 8b.

Notes:
The Enghien estate belonged to the Dukes of Aremberg. 'Duc and Duchesse d'Arenberg' may be distinct roses.
Duke of Arenberg at the period was Prosper-Louis d'Arenberg (April 28, 1785 Enghien - February 27, 1861 Brussels), 7th Duke of Arenberg and Duke of Arschot. In 1819 he married in second marriage Marie Ludmilla Rose, Princess of Lobkowicz (March 15, 1798 - January 10, 1868).
