Origin:
Bred by André Delbard-Chabert (1915-2012) (France, before 1963).
Introduced in France by Delbard/Georges Delbard SA in 1963 as 'Ténor'.
Class:
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Red.  Flowers velvety red.  None to mild fragrance.  Semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, ruffled bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden or pillar.  Very vigorous.  Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. .  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Remove unproductive wood every third year or so.
