Introduced in France by Scipion Cochet in 1895 as 'Philémon Cochet'.

Bloom:
Deep pink.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Climbing, upright.  Dark green foliage.  5 leaflets.

Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Very vigorous.  can be trained as a climber.
