Jean Victor Marie Moreau, French general, born 14 February 1763 at Morlaix in Brittany. He was arrested 15 April 1804 for plotting against Napoleon Bonaparte and exiled for life. He ended up in Morrisville, Pennsylvania, but was called back to Europe in 1813 by Czar Alexander. As the Czar's military advisor, he was mortally wounded at Dresden and died 2 September 1813. He was buried in St. Petersburg.
