From 1926 series of Wills's cigarette cards (No 16) GORGEOUS. (Hybrid Tea.) A bedding rose with perfect habit of growth, and although sometimes variable in colour, it is an extremely popular variety. The flowers, which are large, perfectly formed, and of considerable substance and sweet perfume, are produced freely and continuously upon erect stems. Should be pruned to within four "eyes" early in March. Introduced in 1915, and awarded the Gold Medal of the National Rose Society.
