Registration name: Black Beauty
Bred by G. Delbard (France, 1973).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Bees Ltd., Sealand Nurseries Ltd. as 'Black Beauty'.
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1976 as 'Black Beauty'.
Hybrid Tea.  
Dark red, darker reverse.  Mild fragrance.  Medium, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Height of 30" to 4' (75 to 120 cm).  
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
