Discovered by Victor Lens (1??? - 1969) (Belgium, 1932).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1933 as 'Climbing Gloria Mundi'.
Introduced in United States by Howard Rose Co. in 1943 as 'Gloria Mundi, Cl.'.

Climber, Polyantha, Cl., Rambler.  
Bloom:
Orange or orange-red.  Large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Notes:
This is one of at least three climbing sports of Gloria Mundi: one patented by DeRuiter, 1934, another by Howard, 1943. See Princes van Oranje for De Ruiter rose.
